We have an online community called Anthony Nolan’s Patient & Families Forum. This is a lively community where people can post about their experiences of receiving a transplant and give patients advice about the transplant process.
Our volunteers connect with others, moderate the chat and share tips and advice about life before, during and after a stem cell or bone marrow transplant.
Our volunteers are:
- Transplant recipients themselves, who are minimum of two years post-transplant.
- Able to spare between 2- 5 hours a week
- Incredibly dedicated to helping Anthony Nolan from their homes
Try and do things that make you feel like you – like the person you were before you got sick. That normal stuff is really important.
Be a teenager. Don’t let the isolation, or the things you can’t do when you’re recovering, make you think that you aren’t normal. Read more.
